Rossa just turned 13. She lives with her mom Monika, but she misses her dad Thomas, He’s an archeologist always around the World. After another argue with Monika, Rossa runs away from home to reach her father. He is now in charge of mysterious burial site in a valley in the Alps where Winter never comes. But this is not the only strange thing: the community there has preserved curious traditions, they worship mythological creatures and they speak an obscure language from the past.
Thomas is uncomfortable. He doesn’t know how to be a father, but his landlady Frau Hoffer offers her help and becomes a granny to Rossa. The girl there meets Pietro, a young boy from the Valley, and they become best friends Trying to assist Thomas in his job, Rossa falls in a cave.
Preserved by the ice and cold she hits on a mummy of a girl her age. Scientists find out that she is over 1000 years old.
The discovery breaks in the media and the turmoil disturbs the local community and awakens obscure forces.
Mysterious deaths of animals and humans bring the story into darkness. Rossa is the next prey of the creature behind these killings, but at the same time, she is the key to solve the mysteries of the lost winters.
